Arson Cafe is a personal space dedicated to the many forms of extreme metal, established in October 2012 and has since remained a point of reference through year of scattered writing across different platforms.
From a download-based hub to periods of near dormancy, focus has been sharpened now on listening and reviewing new albums earlier or around the time of release date. Selective content driven by an interest in black, death metal and grindcore, obscure or not, but not strictly limited to these.
Collecting past material is in the plans, in parallel with maintaining continuity. Formalism spans from strict to free, but the intention is always the same: context comprehension, acknowledgement of anti-sound.
The blog has gone through phases, and likely will again — but the core remains. The candle endures in the storm.
