Hellhammer - Satanic Rites (1983) [Demo]

Album: Satanic Rites (Demo)
Genre: Black / Heavy / Speed Metal
Label: Prowling Death Records
Quality: CD-Rip 320kbps
Website: Official

This demo was originally released in tape format only and i would be happy to have an original copy of them, but i don't. I have it as a CD and its probably unofficial since i remember i got it from a local metal zine several years ago. They even put a wrong tracklist on the back cover with 11 songs instead of 12. Like that isn't cult enough for you.

It surely is amazing how this is one of the most important acts of the first wave of black metal, they have influenced so many bands with yet few releases and short active time (1982-1984). But hey, when Von woke up again and release albums, what can we say. At least these guys here haven't fucked everything up.

Bohemian Grove - Age Of Retrogression (2008)

Album: Age Of Retrogression
Genre: Black Metal
Label: Hyperblasted Records
Quality: CD-Rip 320kbps
Website: Myspace

There are some greek bands like this (or this, for example) that have kept their personalities in the down low, very few people know what's up with them. And since i can't find information about the band itself, here is the definition of Bohemian Grove:

Bohemian Grove is a 2,700-acre (1,100 ha) campground located at 20601 Bohemian Avenue, in Monte Rio, California, belonging to a private San Francisco-based men's art club known as the Bohemian Club. In mid-July each year, Bohemian Grove hosts a two-week, three-weekend encampment of some of the most powerful men in the world. (Wikipedia)

The music is really good though, and that's why i crawled out of my room to look for the album. They have also released an EP and its interesting as hell. Both albums are available for download at their label's website, which is apparently their label. You can follow this link.

Ps:  1. The tag is wrong for the fourth track, the name is "Age of Retrogression" and not "Upon A Human Grove". I would be sorry about it, but hey, "never be sorry".
       2. Only 17 days to the new Game of Thrones season. You should check a new series called Vikings as well.

Borgne - IV (2009)

Album: IV
Genre: Ambient / Depressive Black Metal
Label: Sepulchral Productions
Website: Facebook

Interesting project by the guy that also plays drums at the greek band Kawir, they have put out some albums but i think this and their last two are the shit. The music follows the yawning black metal style, where the songs are long and deeply atmospheric, it generally is the best music to put at a gathering of friends or a party. Still, i enjoy listening to the good bands when i get in the mood to. I don't think its their best release, but its a great way to start listening to them.

The Red Shore - Unconsecrated (2008)

Album: Unconsecrated
Genre: Deathcore / Technical Death Metal
Label: Nuclear Blast
Website: Facebook / Myspace

I think these guys are not active anymore, and thats a pity, they improved the level of the scene they were into very much. I enjoy all their three albums but this one a bit more, i think there is a chaotic compositional style that still makes sense, its listenable and often warm to my ears. They have some shredding parts similar to these the new tech death bands use and the sound is generally good.

Im rarely posting lately, im sorry about that, i have a university to fail at.

Dimmu Borgir - Stormblåst MMV (2005)

Album: Stormblåst MMV
Genre: Symphonic Black Metal
Label: Nuclear Blast
Website: Facebook / Myspace

I wish i had the first edition of the album, but i might have to sumbit to prostitution to find the money for it. Dimmu Borgir have gone a little bit out of hand but i enjoy some newer albums by them once in a while. I don't really care if Shagrath is a soldout son of a bitch that betrayed the scene blah blah... When you see a band playing live with a national orchestra, you gotta have to pay attention, because there is a shitload of music in the atmosphere. As for this album, its great. Thats all.
