As much as they suck now, that good this album is. Its like, they used all the greatness they had on one album and kept the awfulness for the rest. They have managed to make the entire metal community to loathe them after the song with Alexander Rybak, i don't think i care anymore, this here is all i need. This album cannot be left out when we're talking about good black metal albums of the mid/late 90s, amazing atmosphere and compositional work.

Its not a mystery why they fucked up after this album. There was a crazy guy in Keep Of Kalessin that matched the philosophy of black metal perfectly back in 1996-1997. Then, after this album was released, he abandoned the band for reasons im not aware of. Keep of Kalessin started making this soft music and the crazy guy kept on creating music on his own. Mare and Aptorian Demon came out it. Ain't that justice.

Ι had informed everyone about a treasure chest full of colourful happy goods disguised as a dirty bag in a garbage bin. I had, in my Wolfcry post a couple of months ago, so i believe its time to get started with the Heavy Metal Alliance. Why is it called like this? Because i thought it was a sweet name about five minutes ago and since they all were an unexpected gift around the same style, i should label them as a gang.

So, first and proud member of the HMA (Already into acronyms, see? Its popular) is the one and only album by the german Karo, a mix of hard rock with some 80s heavy metal elements, nice and nostalgic about the particular era. Keyboards are also used in the songs. The frontman later recorded some other albums, but i do not really care.

Kreator - Hordes Of Chaos (2009)

If you get the limited edition with a bonus DVD and a kick ass package of this album, you will probably love it before you listen to the music. Kreator have progressed since their first albums (which are landmarks for thrash metal, don't get me wrong) and their later releases are equally fast and agressive. They have started speaking of some anti-government ideology and their latest masterpiece Phantom Antichrist has a song that actually talks about the riots here in Greece, accompanied with a video clip showing footage.

Of course, these are not info about this album, all i can say is that this is modern thrash done by the masters for the new and played perfectly."Destroy What Destroys You" is a standout song for me, but really you have to find and buy this one, the artwork smells of war and awesomeness, you're missing out. 

Kataklysm - Prevail (2008)

They have gotten more melodic as the years passed, and they have added slower and catchy melodies at songs, that hasn't changed the fact that they are a great band. A member of the above 20 year old death metal family, Kataklysm have been nailing it all they way till this day, as every album has things to give you. This one is really cool too, i like it more than Heaven's Venom (their latest release) and it was on my player for several weeks when i first got it.
